Ama-Tiamat, Void, & Chaos

version 1 of a larger article of Ama-Tiamat and the 218 to be included with my oracle deck. I will be working on expanding and editing as I get closer to finishing my oracle cards. 

Ama Ushumgal Sumun Tiamat

Ama-Tiamat is the Cosmic Universe, while her energy is the Acosmic (anti-cosmic) energy current.

She existed before time with her mate, Ada-Abzu. Their waters mixed (her salt water and his fresh water) mixed in her Womb, the Primordial Void. They created the first of the gods while they dreamt their dark dreams. She created a home for their children; some residing in an area of darkness and quiet, some living in light areas and living in ruckus. Those who valued the serenity of the stillness of darkness plead with Ama-Tiamat to do something about the children who where making all of the noise in their version of living. At first she did not want to do anything because they were all her children. Those light dwellers (who became to be known as Anunnkai) felt danger coming so they preemptively attacked their parents by killing their father, Abzu, to get Tiamat to attack. They wanted a reason to go to war. She did not fight, but wept for her husband and how their offspring could do such a thing. They grew bolder and harmed their siblings as well. As the pleas of the dark children grew "don't you love us too?" She emboldened with the knowledge something had to be done. She took on Kingu as a mate, adorned him with the Tablets of Destiny, gave him control over her army, created what is secretly known as Azerate (11 demonic warriors, mostly dragons, as special warriors), then went to battle. She was later killed by her grandson Marduk. He split her body in half: the top part was the heavens (sky), and the bottom became the Earth, her blood flowed from her eyes as the Tigris and Euphrates rivers becoming our water, her breath became our air, her bones are the rocks, her flesh the soil, her soul the very energy that pulses through us from the Void as the chaos energy current. (She is 6 of the 9 elements that are seen in our sacred space creation: Mountain, Water, Air, Crystal/Stone, Forest, and Darkness. The mountain and forest break downs both equal Earth element, but mountain is used more often for it. Draconian tradition recognizes more elements than this but our invocations have only 9 specific to call create the sacred space.) From her body and the blood of Kingu Marduk helped to create humans.

She is alive and well, just lying in wait and taking care of all of the life that has come into being through out the Universe after her defeat in that battle. The Tablets of Destiny tell that one day she and her army will rise again to undo all that Marduk and the rest of the Anunnkai have done. So one day she will heal, reconstitute herself, the other dragons and demons will come out, and the scales will be balanced.

Chaos/218:

The concepts of chaos and Void have been twisted and misunderstood over the millennia by people. There are a few of us who have incarnated from that energy current, giving us the unique ability to glimpse into it and understand it easier.

Since humans have had the ability to conceive darkness they have had this tendency to fear it and anything associated with it. There is no obvious order, no neat packages, nothing is observable to our five senses. Ancient humans had to trust upon the unknown and their Inner Senses to tell them what was there; which is still terrifying for many, if not most. They began to associate the dark, things associated with dark, and all things that thrived in dark as evil/bad. Which is a bit silly as the natural state of the Universe is darkness, it is the light that the disruptor. Even if you do not buy the theistic version of the Enuma Elish, you can see this by taking a hard look at space. Calling darkness evil is to call the natural state of most of the Universe (the space between the planets, the planets without stars, the gases that are not lit up, the dark matter, black holes, UV and IR lights although that is a light spectrum so it could be argued that they are acting upon the atoms so they are just as disruptive as visible spectrum light, etc) is evil and only stars are good --- really? That is as questionable as believing there is only one Source for everything when there are more than one sourced energy currents; some of us are born of the other energy currents giving us a different Source and different sets of rules for our souls.

In the current world order Chaos has been come to be known as anarchy, evil, ignorant, etc. and Void is associated as abyss, nothingness, evil, torment, abandonment, worry, ultimate destruction, etc. The Primordial Void is Ama-Tiamat's Womb, the great nothingness from whence all life began. The energy of all that is, was, and will be resides there and within the energy current that emits forth. It is an expansive plane that is in between the planes of the Multi-verse. It is Acosmic (anti-cosmic), Akarmic (anti-karmic), it is lawless, timeless, formless, boundless-- To understand infinity is to grasp at a part of it. It is immeasurable, bound by no law (karma, natural law, man's law, nothing), bound by no boundaries (it truly is infinite), its tendrils span into all planes and beings (some beings more than others) through the Chaos Energy Current - 218.

The Chaos Energy Current (218) is a ribbon extension of the Void. It is like the other energy currents that run through the Multi-verse with the exception that it sources in the Void. It connects us all back to Ama-Tiamat. It has a destructive element in that it keeps life progressing through breaking up stagnation. It helps our body grow (actually through destructive acts, if you look at the act of living everything about it is destructive acts from how we're made, how we're born, how we eat, to how our body grows and makes energy day to day--- without any of that we stagnate like statues). We suffer hardships and gain knowledge/abilities (not much is gained during times of rest and peace--- even when the body is at rest it is destroying things to make way for new, it's very busy when it's at rest). It breaks apart things that are stagnant to a detriment, especially if it's harming the Universal flow, so that the energy can be freed up to feed something else or new can be created from it. This applies to people as well. This block buster can be something like a job or person who is harming or holding the person back, perhaps a harmful habit; these are things that any counselor would advise to break free of. Then it gets more interesting, harmful thought patterns or beliefs, even if the person does not perceive them as bad. Some idea that is keeping the person trapped; like the fear of facing oneself so they remain in a pattern of alcohol, gambling, and using women to band aid their inner wounds. Another less obvious one would be clinging to the ideology of Christianity while it is causing you harm, you don't see that you are a slave and your life is wasting. Something drastic would happen like your life completely being torn apart and loss of sanity or reality as all that built up energy from the blockage is broken; then it is up to you to reorder your life into a new reality with the freed up energy. Some thrive there, creating new ideologies and lives elsewhere; others flounder into drugs only to repeat the break in a worse way until they get the idea to build from the rubble. There are some of us who are born from this energy source instead of the base source for humans. We got sent to Earth to hasten this process for people who are sent into our lives (we got jobs to do versus lessons to learn, lucky for us eh?). This is not fun as people tend to get violent since it is an emotional process to have one's sanity and/or life ripped apart, even if done in the nicest way. The current has its way; one way or another. Either gently filtered through a Void-born or just full tilt hitting someone who attracts it.
  

This whole process is shown in the Cosmic universe by black holes when they destroy matter and release the energy back into the galaxy to be turned into new life. I had a vision earlier when I had struggled on how to depict a deity as a painting who is the whole of creation from the Universe down to our planet and the elements. The image actually had black holes as her vent; the entrance to the Womb of reptiles, the logical physical entrance into the Void from our standpoint on Earth, it must be her vent (the entrance to her Womb --- the Void).

So why is it 218? In gematria, 218 is equivalent to Black Dragon. Also 2+1+8=11 , the significance of the numbers will show below. While you don't see "black dragon" in Tiamat's description, it is a common thread among others within the Sumerian pantheon and several other dragons I work with and will be mentioned through out my writing. In my draconian tradition, which stems from being otherkin, the Void is called Ratanen and is home to a breed of dragon who are apart of the collective title of Liwaen (darkness dragons). The Liwaen is a collective term for the Void-born (my breed), moon dragons, etc. Darkness is one of the elements called upon to open elemental gates during draconic rituals, as well as it's counter Liaan (light). There is a further mathematics break down for the 218 that begins to tell the creation tale I put above: 

Per the Temple of the Black Light (RIP): 

"0 = Primordial Void aka Tiamat's Womb

1 = Form and order by the will of the Cosmic creation (as you saw in the brief overview of the creation epic, it would be the Annukai's Will here). It culminates into 10 (10 = 1 + 0 = 1) as the number of completion; which also stands for law, order, complete manifestation of form, restriction, the closed circle that within itself is prison, the Ego/"I", and repression of the Acausal Self. 

11 (1 + 1 = 2) = Anti-Cosmic Chaos, symbolizes that which goes beyond Cosmic 10. Eleven stands for lawlessness, freedom, formlessness and the breaking of the closed circle. Eleven is the gate to the primeval Chaos and the road through which the essence can transcend the restrictions of forms. Therefore, eleven also symbolizes the completion of Anti-Cosmic Evolution and the realization of hidden, dark and Acausal potential." -- ToBL

11 is not only the Acosmic number, but it is also the number of children that Tiamat birthed for the battle against Marduk after the death of Abzu. They are often known as the Children of Tiamat (even though people don't realize she birthed everyone), Champions of Chaos, or collectively known as Azerate. The ToBL also gets into calling our universe by Causal (1/10) and Acausal (2/11), so when 2 gets mentioned within texted it can mean birthing an alternate Universe instead of a deity. Most of the work I speak about is more than 2 universes and speaks of the energy current as something grander than a universe by itself so I'm going to avoid this definition. Just know that it exists. 

Story time! 

Ama-Tiamat (1) and Ada-Abzu (1) join together in their dark dreams to birth the primal universe (2) out of her Primal Womb/Void (0). [ 1+1=2 ... her womb was 0 before it will filled]. When Order (1 -- 0:1 chaos:order could also be *gasp* binary) came into being and killed its father. Tiamat became enraged with Black Light and birthed 11 (11/2) special champions to kill the 1.
